Finally! TTRPG and Accompanying Novel ready for final editing!


After a year of development I´m proud to say that the world of VeneKings is done from here to the 7th book. The notes, fragments of fables, full chapters, character dossiers and other worldbuilding has been finalized and numbers in the 5-6k pages.  From that a Saga wil be depured! hehehe. But seriously,  at the time of writing this, The VeneKings manual is currently 240 pages RAW and I´ll be translating all that into publishable form with images and as good a design as a broke writer can provide in the following 2-3 months (ideally). The Accompanying novel that will illustrate a few of the adventures that one can have using the rules and world of the manual is currently sitting at 150 pages but I want to make it 140 even for anal retentive and OCD reasons. The problem is that every time I sit down to trim it, I write a new chapter and writers block turns into a nightmarish version of the infinite hotel question. So, I´ve decided to start publishing bits a pieces to keep me motivated to edit/publish something new every day.

Right now, you can download the prototypical Character Sheet and 9 Dossiers (Class C.V.s so to speak) that will look familiar for fans of PBTA. But Fret Not! if you want to help development, send feedback on what the page was missing, or what the layout is lacking.

I´ve developed a very in depth character progression and customization system that will keep you wanting to play more and try new broken combinations as you level up to infinity (if you can keep your character alive for that long that is). Combat will use traditional theater of the mind style with strong narrative rules to make things imaginative and fluid but not chaotic or arbitrary. Think controlled narrative freedom backed by fair but simple rules, vs whiny entitled debauchery bred by soft systems and shy GMs. Exploration will be narrative first but the Gm will be given tools to keep the world of the game contained and manageable without sacrificing on options for the players to explore and uproot it. Progression will be based on the concept of "Failure makes Perfection".

As I´ve mentioned the story and world is planned from here to book 7 because I´m a writer first and foremost. But each book takes place in a different region, with some even going slightly off planet. The playtesting stage allowed us to run copious of amazing adventures that strained the system to its limits. The result was a simple but modular structure that can easily accommodate expansions. What else could be expected from a group of licentious home brewers!? 

In Future Expansions we´ll explore SolarPunk Adventures focused on Political gains and hex crawling, Dark Fantasy Tales exploiting phobias and explaining quantum chromodynamics through classical monsters, Hunting Parties offering new outlooks on anomalous anatomy and monster biology, Highschool Misfits with Superpowers and Magic (kinda mandatory), Simple and fun Naval Navigation and open sea exploration, and; at the behest of a very enthusiastic playtester with whom I now agree; everything is gearing up to serve as a basis for the crowning jewel... The AniMecha Girls Vs Lovecraftian Horrors Supplement for Spooktober 2026.
